Salaville Southern Bay Seasoning
Salaville Southern Bay Seasoning
The village of Salaville was incorporated in Westwego, a suburb of New Orleans. It began as a fishing village along the canal which connected the Westbank of the Mississippi to Bayou Segnette and the Gulf of Mexico. The historic area is four blocks long and includes a museum, a theater, and an art gallery in addition to the farmers market. A number of industries have grown around the area’s wetlands and bayous, including those involving fisheries, shrimping and the canning of seafood.
