St. Roch is a subdistrict of the Bywater neighborhood and stands as a major representative area of New Orleans’ working class families. After Hurricane Katrina, many of the houses and landmarks were heavily damaged but today revitalization efforts are helping to rebuild the area back to its glory. These efforts are slowly drawing visitors in to the beauty of a district that showcases the spirit and diversity of New Orleans.
